Keith Baillargeon ’16, a third year graduate student in the Chemistry Department at Tufts University, visited campus today to give a presentation to the Analytical Chemistry class on his graduate thesis research. Keith’s presentation, “Methods for Blood Preparation and Analysis using Paper-based Devices”, gave insight into a new paradigm in Analytical Chemistry, focusing on low-cost, on-device sample preparation and analysis that could be used in point-of-care or in-field analysis. Keith’s presentation was enthralling and the students had many questions about Keith’s data, public health in the US, and graduate school in general.

It is wonderful to have such great alumni!
